law employment outlook

What is the employment outlook for black females interested in practicing employment law?
I am thinking of attending law school and I am wondering if this would be a good area for me.
This is just my own opinion from being in the business world for 25 years. I think your prospects would be very good in employment law. First of all, as a black female, you cover two categories of diversity that employers often need to cover. Secondly, and unfortunately, since a lot of employment litigation involves discrimination suits, you may find that clients prefer working with someone who has a minotiry perspective. On the other side of that table, if you decide to go into corporate law, then a corporation is always smart to bring a minority attorney to the table in a discrimination lawsuit.
So, again just my humble opinion, I think there are a lot of forces that would support your career choice!

Is Law Profession A Battle Of The Sexes?
Not every lawyer in the world is as evil as how they are portrayed in television and noted in jokes. Most of the time she is satisfied with her life, however there are also those days when she feels down, and she wonders why hadn’t she chosen an easier life.
Like the increasing number of woman lawyers from Lethbridge, she has been practicing law since 1985. The mythical ring of gold still seems light-years away in spite of the fact that more women have graduated from Canadian universities. A lot of law firms seem to prioritize men over women. Law has severe financial hitch, which both male and female lawyers share in common. Young students expects too much from life, thinking that it would be easy. Paying off their student loans and getting a job inside the competitive industry is two of their biggest problems.
Because of that, practicing law is no longer as civil as it was before. There is no longer any training or mentoring system, like in the past. Every law graduate needs four years of internship in a law firm before they could become full pledge members of the Law Society. To find out more on lawyers check out compensation lawyers.
Another thing she said she noticed at Lethbridge is how many women worked as criminal defense lawyers, something which would have never been possible 20 years ago. She also says that the reason why many lawyers choose this place is that they could both practice law and raise their children in a good environment. Volunteering to join boards and committees is a good step for them to be able to help give back to the community.
In major centers, the lawyers try to purchase a partnership with the law firm by giving up their monthly salaries in exchange of the profits. However, forfeited time with family and inability to pursue other interests are all tradeoffs just to get financial rewards. This misconception about lawyers’ fees is because of people randomly throwing criticism without actually knowing anything about dealing with professionals.
Dental plans and health care are accessible to a lot of people. They are not used to paying engineers, architects, or even school fees. Due to this, they are not used to fees.
The lawyer actively participates in the Lawyers Referral Program and shares her knowledge with public talks with the local community college legal education program. If you have a civil or criminal case, you can apply to legal aid and have a lawyer appointed for you.
